Frozen In Time 13

Later that night, when Molly and John are on the dance floor, she asks him why someone so handsome and seemingly easy going is single. He looks at her and says,"maybe I was waiting for you." Molly blushes and says,"slow down, buster, I haven't had that much wine yet." John takes her for another spin around the dance floor and then they make their way back to the table. Candlelight is flickering and the music is great and the food is delicious. Molly keeps saying over and over in her head, "pinch me, please, I am dreaming."

Zeb is at home with the kids and they are watching movies. Sara has stopped by and offered to "help" Zeb with the kids. Sara taught them all how to make popcorn balls and they ordered pizza for dinner. Zeb says he is thankful that  old man will be back tomorrow, although, he enjoyed the extra money, he missed him like crazy. It is the beginning of the second movie and most of the kids are sleeping. Zeb carries them off to their beds and tucks them in. Sara is sitting on the floor in the living room and is watching him out of the corner of her eye.

Her heart is swelling with love for him as he comes back and scoops up the next one, careful not to wake them. Sara has decided that he has a knack for this, as he has not woken up one child. He returns moments later and it is just him and Sara and 3 of his siblings sitting on the floor watching the movie. After awhile the other 3 are tired and head off to bed, saying their good nights and giving their hugs. Zeb tells them that he will be in in a minute and tuck them in. A few minutes later he is returning to Sara sleepily sitting on the floor. He asks her if she wants him to take her home and she says,"no, I'm not ready to go home, are you trying to get rid of me, mister." Zeb winks and smiles at her and says, "never in a million years."

Sometime after 1:00 am, John is dropping Molly off on her front porch and tells her that he had a wonderful evening and would she like to go out again sometime, Molly says, of course she would and he knows the number. John wraps his arms around her in the glow of the porch light and gives her a kiss on the cheek. He stands there for a minute and makes sure she gets in alright. Molly opens the door and tells John to come inside. There Sara and Zeb are sleeping arm in arm on the living room floor with the throw from the couch barely covering them up. John gives Sara a gentle shake and asks if she would like a ride home and she sleepily agrees and asks how their date went. She sees the big smiles on their faces and says never mind, I got it. Zeb gives Sara a kiss goodnight and goes into the kitchen with his mom and says, "so?" Molly says, "a proper lady does not kiss and tell."

Zeb says, "so there was kissing?" Molly says,"you are impossible," with a big smile on her face. Zeb is so happy to see his mom smiling like that, that is something he hasn't seen in a long, long time. He asks if she will be going out again and she tells him that she sure hopes so.
