I never met the person in Rm. 802
It broke my heart when they called code blue
Doctors come running down the hall
They barely knew him at all
His family was visiting from far away
They were here when he went Home that day
A poor soul only 74 years of age
Just becomes the turning of a page
His wife, sister and daughter in the hall crying
The doctors and nurses in his room trying
He became unresponsive and they couldn't bring him back
A pulse and a heartbeat was what they lacked
I saw the familiar face of his daughter and wife
So full of hope hanging on to his life
He was doing okay this morning
It just came on without any warning
I wish I knew the man in Room 802
I wanted to tell him God Bless You
It broke my heart when they called code blue
Doctors come running down the hall
They barely knew him at all
His family was visiting from far away
They were here when he went Home that day
A poor soul only 74 years of age
Just becomes the turning of a page
His wife, sister and daughter in the hall crying
The doctors and nurses in his room trying
He became unresponsive and they couldn't bring him back
A pulse and a heartbeat was what they lacked
I saw the familiar face of his daughter and wife
So full of hope hanging on to his life
He was doing okay this morning
It just came on without any warning
I wish I knew the man in Room 802
I wanted to tell him God Bless You

Wow, this was so, so touching. This kind of gave me a much-needed slap in the face about what real problems are - thank you. (I feel sorta bad for saying that, actually) Really, really poignant - this deserves to get published in book form. I really hope your daughter feels better soon.
